Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Notes for this amendment:
Monday is Memorial Day, a single day set aside to do what we ought to do every day: remember those that fought and died so that we can stand for our religious beliefs without government prohibiting the free exercise thereof.
To those that laid it all down in service to their country:
It doesn’t seem to matter to our current government, but We, the people thank you!
May we never forget.
